What a feeling
Being’s believing
“All that you touch you change. All that you change changes you. The only lasting truth is change.” ― Octavia E. Butler
Dear Reader,
We’re here! New Year’s Eve! Thank you all so very much for your presence during 2025! Thank you for the likes, the comments, the feedback, the sharing, the conversations that have tumbled into more content—it has inspired all of us to stay curious. And! And! And! Together we’ve donated 10% of all Tumbleweed Pioneer subscription proceeds to Room to Read! 🧡
(And that’s enough exclamation points for the year.)
Heads up that in 2026 I’m committed to publishing one written post and one podcast a month. I’m back on the podcast train by (popular?) demand. Basically more people want to talk about more things and I’m here to facilitate that. Be on the look out for a thoughtful conversation with author and widower Aaron Simmons in January.
This year’s final post is one of my favorite practices: an inventory of sorts about the year! Below are a few ideas for reflection. I am always curious to know what other ones you come up with …
Number of times I gave someone a compliment:
My favorite meal of 2025:
Something new I tried this year:
Someone who I have really enjoyed getting to know:
Something that I lost that is likely not coming back:
A picture from this year that I’ve referred back to repeatedly:
Something left unsaid (it’s not too late to say it!):
Something memorable that I remember from this year about …
A taste
A touch
A smell
A sound
An image
Something I spent too much time on:
Something I wanted to spend more time on:
The time I laughed the hardest this year:
The time I cried (or wanted to cry) the most this year:
An animal I doted on:
Something I won’t carry into 2026:
Something I will never let go of:
…
With gratitude & blessings of love 🧡
